NOW OPEN WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

THE MEWSRoom

Ginny is just a whisker away!

Hi there! My name is Ginny, and I'm a gorgeous medium-haired calico with enough whiskers to pick up signals from another galaxy.

At just 16 weeks old, I'm full of curiosity, kitten energy, and endless entertainment. You'll often find me chasing crinkle balls, hunting invisible creatures, or attempting to catch my own tail. (One day I'll win.)

When playtime is over, I transform into a professional cuddler. I love fluffy blankets, gentle pets, and making biscuits while I settle in for a cozy nap. If you'd like to speed up the friendship process, chicken treats are highly recommended.

I'm looking for a family that appreciates equal parts adventure and affection. In return, I'll provide laughter, companionship, and enough whisker magic to brighten every day.

Ginny is available for adoption at The Mews Herald, 301 Collett St., Morganton.

Hours are Wednesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Adoption Center

At The Mews Herald Cat Café, every whisker has a story—and those stories begin with The Cats’ Cradle, our foster-based rescue dedicated to giving cats a second chance at a loving home.

We are not a shelter or intake facility. Our cats live in foster homes where they receive personalized care, comfort, and socialization before coming to The Mews Herald. By the time you meet them, they’re thriving and ready to find their forever families.

As the adoption hub for The Cats’ Cradle, we offer a cozy space where you can connect with our cats at your own pace. Visit our cuddle room to relax, unwind, and enjoy some feline companionship. Every visit helps support our rescue efforts.

Not ready to adopt? Come spend time with our kitties—your visit helps fund their care and rescue more in need.

Call 828-475-6732 to learn more or plan your visit today.

The Purress Box

The Purrress Box is the Cat Café and internet lounge at The Mews! Sit back and relax with friends while enjoying one of our signature "Cattail" dirty sodas, iced coffees or one of our new summer line of refreshing mixes. We'll keep you hydrated and fueled with options of ice cream, chips or snacks from our small café selection while you watch the action on the field in our cat and kitten playrooms live. You’re sure to catch all the big plays in a relaxing environment and, hopefully, find your superstar!

Make a Difference

Short-term or long-term foster care is great for folks who cannot adopt.

Wishlist & Sponsorships

There are many other ways to help beyond fostering. Consider becoming a sponsor by covering the adoption fee for a special needs cat or kitten. Cats’ Cradle is always in need of supplies—from cat and kitten food to litter, blankets, toys, scratching posts, and more.

Volunteer Opportunities

We need passionate volunteers to help organize fundraisers, assist at adoption events, clean cages at our PetSmart adoption centers, and more. You can support our special needs cats by becoming an Angel Parent with a monthly donation to cover their medical expenses. Every bit of help makes a difference!

GoodShop

Make Cats’ Cradle your charity of choice through GoodShop! Simply register on GoodShop, select Cats’ Cradle from Morganton, NC, and we’ll receive a donation from every purchase you make. GoodShop offers incredible deals and coupons for many of your favorite online stores.
